So many of us live with the scars of trauma. Be it from sexual abuse, physical abuse or any other source of trauma, it never goes away. You can’t escape it. You can’t cover it up. You can’t just forget about it. If you are going to heal from it, you have to confront it.

Her process is based more on neurology than reliving the past. What I love about it is that it starts with the head and not the heart. In my experience, it starts with mind first. Your thoughts lead to your feelings, so it makes sense to start there.
In our discussion with Carolin, we had a very interesting discussion of the difference between being led by feelings and led by the heart. Feelings can be fleeting and being led by how you feel can lead you in any number of directions, sometimes all at once! Being led by your heart means following your intuition. Feelings can lead you astray, your heart, however, never will.
